Location

Located in the Puntarenes Province of Costa Rica, Santa Teresa is a steadily growing coastal town on the the Nicoya Peninsula.  A very special part of the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa has developed consciously enforcing strict building codes.  No multiple story beach hotels litter the beach front, in fact while strolling along the white sand there’s little more than the warm Pacific Ocean and lush jungle surrounding.

The beachfront yoga shala is 20 feet, practically right on the white sands of Santa Teresa. The shala is made from teak & madrono with a hand woven, palm leaf roof.  It’s surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens containing almond, plumeria and ceiba trees, as well as flowering plants and cactus. The sea and surf is visible from the shala through the almond tree foliage providing a partially obstructed privacy. This is the closest yoga shala to the beach in all of Santa Teresa.
